In addition to registration of trade marks, we also undertake work for publication and/or registration of designs as well (a design, in this context, meaning the overall appearance of a product resulting from one or more visual features).

Our core design services are:

Search and search advisory (in relation to third party designs)

• Drafting and filing design applications
• Following up (prosecuting) design applications
• Finalisation of design applications to publication or registration (as instructed)
• Handling third party requests for examination

In addition, we also provide a range of ancillary services such as:

• Maintenance services (e.g. acting as address for services and undertaking renewals work)
• Transaction services (e.g. providing pro forma licence documents and transfer (assignment) documents*, undertaking recording of transactions: *NB we can arrange for redrafting or drafting of specialist agreements upon request)
• Portfolio review and management

Finally, we note that self-filing of a design application is possible: if you self-filed but have had an objection raised by the Designs Office, we still may be able to assist in overcoming the objection*, so please do not hesitate to contact us (*please note, however, that we cannot take responsibility for any issue relating to the application or its conduct prior to the point, if any, at which we take over).
